When on vacation, it is a must to try the best local cuisine.

First stop, 1st Colonial, one of the famous restaurants in Legazpi. I tried their Pasta Bicolana.

Then, for dessert, we tried their authentic and best seller sili (chili) ice cream. For the adventurous soul, you can try the level 3 sili ice cream. For the cautious one, I suggest you try the level 1. They also serve other authentic ice cream flavors.

Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

I have tried a number of CPRGs, and this game is by far my favorite. This game got me at dynamic split-screen for co-op!  And yes, the turn based combat. :)

Here are some of my screenshots:

I just love this game. :) Try it for yourself, now! xx

Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast with Bacon and Cheese

I was craving for french toast for days now. Since I still have bacon left in the fridge, I've decided to create my french toast with bacon, and (lots and lots of) cheese!

Here are the ingredients:

- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 6 pcs bread
- 3 pcs ham
- 8 slices of cheese
- cooking oil

So, let's begin!

1. First, cut the bacon into pieces.

2. Preheat the pan and fry all the bacon, low and slow.

3. Let the cooked bacon drain and set aside.

4. Combine the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and a 1/2 tbsp of sugar.

5. Lightly coat the pan with oil.

6. Dip the bread into the liquid mixture, and cook until golden brown. Flip bread, and cook the other side. Repeat this for the remaining bread.

7. Sprinkle the bread with sugar.

8. Fry the remaining liquid mixture.

9. Arrange the bread, cheese, bacon, and the fried liquid mixture. You'll be able to make three pairs of this.

10. Cut the breads in half.

11. Serve and enjoy with a cup of coffee!

Happy eating! xx

ACRS 2015

To all remote sensing enthusiasts, here is the perfect place to meet people all over Asia that share the same passion you have with this field of study, ACRS 2015: The 36th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing. This will be held at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Manila, Philippines from October 19 - 23, 2015. This year's theme is "Fostering Resilient Growth in Asia".

This is a very timely event since we have been experiencing disasters and climate change for the past few years. It is the venue to learn more about remote sensing and other related geospatial technologies in solving these important issues.

To know more about ACRS 2015, you can visit their site.

Neverwinter

Are you a fan of Dungeons & Dragons? What about MMO, or RPG? If you are, then this is the game for you!

Neverwinter is the first MMORPG on Xbox One; developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World. This is now available for download as a free content for all Xbox Live Gold members.

I have just started playing the game. My character, Galadriel of Myth Drannor, is a half-human, half-elf; a control wizard that uses arcane power spells to defeat the greatest adversaries from D&D legend. What I liked about this game compared to the PC version is that it is optimized for Xbox One. The only problem so far is the low FPS when my character is in town; and the missing mini-map! Other than that, I am loving this game.

So, what are you waiting for? Try this game now!

Enjoy! xx

Minecraft or Terraria?

Minecraft or Terraria? That is the question.

These games are mainly about building structures by breaking and placing blocks to create a wonderful world based from your imagination. Terraria is  generated in a 2D world, while Minecraft is in 3D. Aside from creating a fantasy world, it is an action-adventure as well, where you need to explore, craft, construct, and combat with a variety of creatures.

Either way, 2D or 3D, I both love these games. It's up to you to try these to know which one you'll like.

Happy playing! xx

Ippudo

If you are into ramen, you have got to try the famous Ippudo ramen.

I tried their Karaka-Men with salted soft-boiled egg. According to the menu, Karaka-Men is Ippudo’s original tonkotsu broth served with wavy thin noodles, pork belly, kikurage, and spring onions. To add kick to the senses, they fused it with a special spicy miso with ground pork and fragrant garlic oil.

We also tried their classic pan-fried dumplings called the Hakata-Style Gyoza.

The meals may be a bit pricey, ranging from Php 400-500, but it'll be all worth it.

If you want to try Ippudo, here are the details from Booky:

Singapura!

I visited Singapore last month, and was there for seven days. During my stay, I was able to tour around the country and visit some of their famous tourist spots. Visiting another country won't be complete without taking some amazing photos.

Until my next adventure! xx

The Killing

With all these long holidays, I was able to finish a lot of TV series from Netflix. One of the series that I really liked was The Killing; based on a popular Danish TV series that started to air in 2011 up to August of 2014.

The story starts with two homicide detectives of the Seattle Police Department: Sarah Linden, and Stephen Holder. The Killing has four seasons with 13 episodes each season, except for season 4.

The series had a lot of interesting twists and turns, which made it really engaging and exciting at the same time.

If you're into detective series like me, you might want to try this one. Happy watching! xx

AntiTeasis: Books and Brews

It's back to reality and back to school once again! After enrolment, we found the perfect place to relax. Where? AntiTeasis! Haha. The irony!

The place is decorated with cute designs.

We tried their coffee and tea, togeher with their little donuts. This place is the perfect hangout to relax and chill. They have a variety of books, cards and board games.

Of course, this post won't be complete without this photo. We were there to forget about our foreboding thesis, but we left the place inspired and motivated.

If you want to try this place, here are the details from Booky:
