| Photo from http://www.sensysmag.com/ Five years ago, the famous WorldView-2 satellite from DigitalGlobe was launched. At that time, it was the first sensor with the highest spatial (46cm) and spectral (8-bands) resolution. It was launched at Vadenberg Air Force Base in California aboard a Delta II rocket. It's mission life is estimated to last for 10-12 years. So, it still has a long way to go. Especially now that the satellite resolution restrictions have been lifted by the US Department of Commerce. Here's an interesting launch video from two years ago. Enjoy watching! xx |
